SPRING CUP

Back in Finland from ’ski-O’ in Denmark. Yep, there was not so much normal orienteering. Quite much snow in the forest, not so challenging courses and as Bohdana (being in FIN) has said even the online service wasn’t on top.
Driving through the SWE on Fri, two races during the weekend and again driving back to FIN, twelve hours behind the wheel for two hours of running. Luckily the results were good so it was not such a big waste of time although it feels like.
The Classic distance was an easy course and since I was starting in the middle of the field the orienteering part basically got down into the choosing correct path made by previous poor guys.
Relay, yes that was something! An opening leg for me, I was basically just following the leading guys all the way and trying to run as much as possible on the tracks. It was really boring!
I guess that was it for me! I know that I’ve been saying that already few times, but this year it was my LAST Spring Cup!


Her back seems to be OK, so she will start some ‘real’ training again. Although, her main focus at the moment is on classic xc-skiing, wonder why! After being only skater, she at last found out that the real joy is a Classic style not Skate one. So we had to buy a new set of classic skies for her (luckily sport-shops are keen on discounts now) and she goes skiing on a frozen see everyday. How she does check
