Again, but luckily not for me, only for tough Finnish guys! Sprint yesterday and middle today in Pargas, and probably classic tomorrow in Ingå/Inkoo.
It was sooo much better sprint yesterday in comparison to that, which I ran last week in CZE. I like those city-sprints much more than the forest ones. My ankle is almost healed so I gave it a shoot. I made some small mistakes, but feeling after I finished was 100% better than in last couple of days.
One minor comment: the 3rd control! I’ve run as planned, but before the last passage I was stopped by the organizer and guided around the building. Someone had come to that place, after 9 guys had run through, closed the gate and drove home!
Overall 20th place +0.56 behind Tero Föhr, OK!

Today, that was a forest! I thought that this kind of sh… is only in Tampere area
, but not really. I’m so glad that it wasn’t my test race! I have kind of given up after the 2nd control already, where I missed a lot and had to fight much with all the green stuff from the ground up to my neck, which continued all the way towards the finish-line. I jogged through the rest of the course, with a very low mental and physical effort. If this would have been training I would have quit after 5 min.
Overall 56th place +15.53 behind Jarkko Huovila, YES!

BTW: while waiting yesterday in school at the pre-start, if felt really odd to be there among those Finnish guys. For me it just a next race, for them it was really IT. They have train for these races a whole winter so no wonder that they tried to concentrate and prepare for the race in a best way. On the contrary, I was just sitting there (almost bored) and only waiting for my turn. As I saw on Suunnistus.net, there is a discussion going on about us foreigners running Finnish test races. I totally understand that we (foreigners) are taking places from Finnish guys who could possibly qualify. But for my defense: Test races are the ranking-ones and of course the best opportunity to get good points!
Classic tomorrow?
Bohdana starts to walk a bit on her injured leg, but maybe she would need to go to doctor anyway
and she would like to do orienteering so much this year…
