SATISFACTION!

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

I usually don’t get bothered much if some “specialists” #1 or #2 get so smart and give you “hard” time over some discussions after all is over… How it should have been if and all that blablabla stuff.

Opening the world_of_o today in the morning (usually the 1st thing I do when launching the web browser) produced a nice grin on my face. My “baby” was chosen…

According to Bohu, I should write it in less complicated way, so here it goes:

- I was the course setter of that particular race
- I read some comments from the so-called-sprint-specialists afterwards, that it was so poor and all that blablabla shite
- today (22.12.) the H21E leg from that particular race was chosen as Route to Christmas: Day 22 2009
- which makes me satisfied!

Marry Christmas to all you O-freaks!

WINTER IS BACK!

Saturday, December 12th, 2009

Thanks to the IBU, EBU, FIS, ST, SIWIDATA we still don’t need to have a telly at home, yet still we can comfortably follow any ski race on the PC… However, there is still some work to be done for the FIS in order to follow live-stream from the XC-races.

It is well known that the cyclists are tough guys, but they seem to be crazy as well!!! Orienteering in such conditions :)

WASTED YEARS

Why, why, why me???!!!

This question has been bothering my mind for recent days. Why on Earth do I have to be injured again?! When it all seemed that at last my legs will be healed. Is it that I’m a stubborn dumbass or is it due to a neglect while running on still injured (not 100% mended) legs, bad attitude, bad luck, predispositions, lack of professionalism, or anything else…??? Perhaps a fine mixture of all, I don’t know…

I went through my old training diaries, through my mind and started to count the days when I’ve been injured or somehow hindered from training by some pain. Well see for yourself below… (those days when I just twisted a bit and could run next day again or those when I felt some small pain are not counted though).

Year 2003 is nothing like that “luck” struck me at last or that some miracle had happened! The reason is that at that particular year I trained only about 170hrs. I was sooo fed up with running… I usually just trained intervals on Tue at Kupittaa, some long runs over the weekend, map from time to time, but most of the time I just sat on the sofa and watched telly, Bohdana could tell you :) However the 7th place at the Finnish Relay Champs or 2nd best time on 5th leg at 25manna isn’t bad either…

Luckily it’s ONLY sport, which nowadays doesn’t occupy 100% of my mind, just a bit less :)

and as long as these two little angels are healthy, and so is Bohu, I don’t care much…
